How Cleanora Works

All processing happens locally on your device. When you use Cleanora to scan for duplicates, compress videos, or merge contacts, all analysis and operations are performed entirely on your iPhone or iPad. Your content never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers or any third-party services.

Permissions We Request

To provide our services, Cleanora requests the following permissions:

  • Photos Access: Required to scan and identify duplicate photos and videos in your library
  • Contacts Access: Required to detect and merge duplicate contact entries
  • Calendar Access: Required to identify and remove duplicate calendar events

These permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality. We only access the data necessary to perform the requested operations, and all processing occurs on your device.

iCloud Integration

If you use iCloud Photo Library or iCloud contacts, Cleanora can access these items through Apple's standard APIs. However, we do not have direct access to your iCloud account, and all operations are performed through iOS system frameworks with your explicit permission.

Analytics and Crash Reports

We may collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to help improve the app's performance and user experience. This data is completely anonymized and does not contain any personal information or content from your photos, videos, contacts, or calendar. This includes information such as:

  • Device type and iOS version
  • App version and feature usage patterns
  • Crash logs and error reports
  • Performance metrics

Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system, your payment information is processed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your credit card or payment details. We may receive basic subscription status information (such as whether you have an active subscription) to enable premium features, but this does not include any financial information.

Third-Party Services

Cleanora does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. We do not use any third-party SDKs that collect user data. The only third-party service we interact with is Apple's App Store for app distribution and in-app purchases.

Data Security

Since all data processing occurs locally on your device and we do not collect or store your personal content, your data security is primarily dependent on your device's security measures. We recommend:

  • Keeping your iOS device updated with the latest security patches
  • Using a strong passcode or biometric authentication
  • Regularly backing up your device to iCloud or iTunes

Children's Privacy

Cleanora does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.
